AI Transparency Statement
The short version

Every blog post on this site is written by me. The ideas are mine. The opinions are mine. The experiences described are things I actually went through. Nothing on this site is generated or ghostwritten by an AI model.

How I actually use AI tools

I use LLMs during the editing phase, not the writing phase. Once I have a draft that says what I want to say, I sometimes run it through an LLM to check if a sentence is unclear, if a paragraph is harder to read than it needs to be, or if my grammar is doing something strange. The kind of light editing pass that most writers would do themselves on a second or third read.

I also use LLMs as a thinking partner when I am trying to work through an idea before writing about it. If I am not sure how to structure an argument or I want to stress-test a point, I will sometimes talk it through with an LLM the way you might think out loud with someone else in the room. The output of those conversations never ends up directly in the post. They are more like rough notes that help me get to the version I actually write.

Occasionally I will ask an LLM to suggest simpler ways to explain something technical, then rewrite that explanation in my own words. The simplification is a starting point, not the final text.

What AI does not do here

AI does not generate the topics I write about. It does not produce the first draft. It does not decide the position I take or the conclusions I reach. It does not write the sentences you read. Every post starts as something I wanted to say, and the final version reflects how I actually think and write, not how an LLM would phrase the same information.

I also do not use AI image generation for anything on this site. Images used here are either screenshots, publicly available assets, or sourced media.

Why I am being explicit about this

A lot of content online right now is either fully AI-generated or partially AI-generated without any acknowledgment of it. I find that frustrating as a reader because it is often hard to tell, and it changes what the content actually means when you know it was not written by a person with a real stake in what they are saying.

This site exists because I have things I want to document, share, and think through in public. That purpose only makes sense if the writing is genuinely mine. Using AI to write the posts for me would make the whole thing pointless.

If that ever changes significantly, I will update this page to say so.

The honest summary

I write everything. I edit with help from AI tools when it is useful. The thinking, the experiences, the opinions, and the final words are mine. That is the complete picture.
