about

academics

12th grade done. didn't land a good public uni, wasn't super into it anyway. currently figuring life out and looking for a direction that actually makes sense to me.

personal work

all of my personal work lives in the open. i mostly build small, focused tools to make my own workflow better, and i contribute where i can to projects and ecosystems i genuinely care about.

what i care about

i prefer software that is small, clearly scoped, and honest about what it does. tools should be understandable end to end, without hidden complexity or unnecessary abstraction. i value programs that behave predictably, compose well with others, and can be reasoned about by reading the source.

me, briefly

i am a programmer (competent, still learning), a linux user, and someone who prefers working in scripts and editors. i am preparing to begin my undergraduate studies. i write often about topics that interest me. this website is a collection of those interests, including notes, essays, guides, and occasional reflections. my code is hosted on github and codeberg, and in time i hope to publish more formal work under my own name.

this site is intentionally minimal. there are no ads, cookies, trackers, or automated scripts. the typefaces used are google sans and jetbrains mono. my journey with linux began in early 2022, and now in my early twenties i continue to refine how i interact with computers and systems. while many people my age have already started full-time work, i remain at home due to personal and environmental circumstances. i live in 🇧🇩, a place i often critique but also care about deeply, where society looks down on those doing nothing and living off their parents.

most of my time is spent customizing systems. after years of experimenting with distributions, shells, and environments, i am moving toward building a stable personal system that i understand end to end. my current interests include quickshell and ags, though i am becoming more selective about where i invest my time.

i am future-oriented rather than present-focused. i care about making systems simpler, easier to understand, and more useful. i enjoy guiding others, contributing to the wider open-source and software community, and showing that alternative ways of working and thinking are possible. while i currently spend most of my time at home, i expect to begin my bachelor's studies within the next few months and am looking forward to what comes next.
